At MultimediaPiano.com, we exist to promote the very highest quality products and services available for learning and enjoying piano music.
The real impetus for this site was what has been perceived as a genuine need for enriching private piano instruction with multimedia programs. Practicing piano should be both engaging and rewarding. Ethical piano instruction should foster musical independance as opposed to dependence upon others. Far too much private piano instruction is, at best, mediocre. Multimediapiano.com intends to change that. We believe that piano instruction should accommodate a variety of learning styles and employ a variety of methods including computer-based games and programs.
In our new technological world, piano teachers need affordable and effective multimedia resources for keeping students focused and productive during instructional and practice time. This may mean temporarily switching from playing at sight to a computerized ear training or sight reading game when the student becomes frustrated by their undeveloped coordination. Secondly, students need lessons which can be reviewed more than once. Review is the key to long term memory and permanent learning.
We believe that there are a number of ways to improve piano instruction through multimedia and online applications. Therefore, we have taken it upon ourselves to evaluate various programs on the market and recommend those that we believe best suit the needs of teachers and students. We only discuss those programs which we have utilized to date. This does not in any way mean to suggest that our list is exclusive or exhaustive.
