Online piano and keyboard lessons are designed for tech-savvy, teen through adult learners.  Please contact with pertinent questions and for scheduling prior to purchase of a subscription for online lessons. 


I.  Live Online Lessons (synchronous)   

A.  Description

Four, thirty-minute, live audio/video lessons per month via the Internet for beginning through intermediate students.  In addition, students receive a weekly updated personal studio web page for assignments, lesson comments, useful tools, backing track recordings, duet accompaniments, and audio visual demonstrations.  


B.  Qualifications

1.  Computer requirements for video conferencing:

a.  operating system of Vista, Windows XP, or Windows 7 

b.  must have minimum of an AMD Dual Core or Core Duo CPU 

c.  at least 2 GB of RAM

2.  High speed internet access

3.  High quality webcam with built in microphone (such as Logitech C600) or 
camcorder used as webcam

4.  Most recent update of Adobe Flash Player installed (free download)

5.  Computer speaker headphones

6.  Acoustic piano or digital keyboard and metronome

II.  Self-paced Online Lessons (asynchronous)  

A.  Description

Weekly assignments are provided for beginning through intermediate students.  Students will receive printable theory training, screen-cast video instruction, music performance examples, grading of written assignments, and written feedback on assigned performances
 
    B.  Qualifications

    1.  Computer and printer

    2.  Internet access

    3.  Free Finale Reader ( free download from http://www.finalemusic.com/reader/ )

    4.  Digital keyboard or an acoustic piano

    5.  MIDI capability with audio recording software (such as Mixcraft, Pro Tools, Cubase) or high quality webcam (such as Logitech C600) and a condenser microphone
